Today, the Neoclassicism art period still inspires many people. In 1990 during the MTV Awards, Modanna used Marie Antoinette from the Neoclassical art period as inspiration. The whole video shows a Paris theme from where Neoclassical art originated from, but her whole look resembles Marie Antoinette whom is seen in the painting by Vigee Le Brun. Just like seen in the painting, Modanna wears a head piece that resembles the piece that Marie Antoinette wore and the type of pieces she was documented wearing. As well, Modanna wore a similar dress to the one Marie Antoinette is seen wearing in the painting. As well, Modanna looks pale just like Marie Antoinette.
